World Renowned Eminent Visual Artist, Belgavi, Karnataka

Dr. Baburao Nadoni, one of Karnataka’s most eminent artists, was born on June 1st, 1977, in Athani. Renowned in the visual arts community, he has consistently produced outstanding works across a wide spectrum of disciplines including painting, sculpture, drawing, murals, photography, film, music, yoga, literature, folklore, sports, and social service. His significant contributions to Indian art have earned him national recognition as one of the country’s proudest artistic talents. Widely known for his artistic excellence, Dr. Nadoni is often referred to as a “portrait specialist,” celebrated for his remarkable speed and confidence. He completes portraits within 30 to 40 minutes using bold, expressive brushstrokes—without any preliminary pencil sketches—capturing the essence and likeness of his subjects with stunning accuracy. His work has received appreciation from Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and renowned scientist Dr. C.N.R. Rao. He has also illustrated the novel of national poet and Jnanpith awardee Kuvempu, earning praise from both the public and fellow artists. One of his notable achievements includes creating 50 portraits in just five days during a camp at the Kerala Lalitkala Academy. Dr. Nadoni has not only set benchmarks in portraiture but has also mastered various creative art forms. His Buddha painting series reflects deep moral values, while his musical series titled Naada Ninaad beautifully expresses his connection to music and nature. His work showcases imagination, sensitivity, and a unique creative vision.

Over the years, he has made a profound impact on the art world through his participation in state, national, and international exhibitions, as well as 94 art camps. He has been honored with over 52 prestigious awards, including the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Award, Mysore Dasara Award, Karnataka Lalitkala Academy’s most coveted award, Pune’s Lokmanya Tilak National Award, and Nagpur’s National Award. In recognition of his exceptional contributions, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Indian Virtual Academy, Bengaluru. In the past 25 years, Dr. Nadoni has exhibited his works in cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kerala, Goa, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and internationally in Europe. He has participated in more than 40 group shows at both national and international levels, with his artworks displayed in galleries, universities, and private collections. His paintings reflect the inner world of humanity—its joys, sorrows, dreams, struggles, and relationship with nature—through vibrant colors and innovative forms. His work has created a new dimension in Indian art. Beyond his artistic achievements, Dr. Baburao Nadoni is a dedicated social worker and a passionate nature conservator. His multifaceted personality has had a lasting impact on society, earning him the reputation of being a “precious gift” to both the art world and the community at large.

National Award Winning Eminent Artist, Karnataka

Mrs. Asharani B. Nadoni, an esteemed artist, was born in 1987 in the world-famous heritage city of Halebidu, located in the Hassan district of Karnataka. She pursued her Master’s degree in Painting from Karnataka University, Dharwad, and is widely recognized for her creative works, including miniature and conceptual art. Her paintings are known for their depth and “feminine sensibilities,” and she has been serving society for over 30 years through her vibrant and meaningful artistic expressions. Mrs. Nadoni has actively participated in numerous art camps, as well as state, national, and international exhibitions and festivals.

She was honored with the Karnataka Lalitakala Academy Fellowship in 1995 and received the State Award from the Academy in 2008. Her accolades at the national level include the Nagpur National Award (2005), Pune’s Lokmanya Tilak National Award (2011), Gokavi Varnasiri (2016), the prestigious Savitribai Phule National Award (2011, Delhi), Drishya Kala Belaku (2024, Kalaburagi), and the Chitrakar National Award (2024, Bengaluru).

In 2007, she was honored with the Best Teacher Award at both the state and national levels by the renowned Dr. S.A. J. Nagalotimath. Mrs. Nadoni is celebrated for her selfless contributions to the field of art and society, mentoring countless students and supporting underprivileged youth with compassion and dedication.

Her deep concern for nature is evident in her work and lifestyle, earning her the title of a “True Environmentalist.” As a multifaceted individual, she is known for her captivating artwork that reflects a profound connection with nature. Her use of vibrant colors brings to life the beauty and serenity of the natural world.

Beyond her artistic pursuits, Mrs. Asharani Nadoni is a committed social worker who uses her platform to raise awareness about important societal issues and make a positive impact in her community. Her passion for art and social responsibility has earned her widespread recognition and admiration, solidifying her position as a respected figure in both the art world and society.
